Dennis C. Hayes, Senior Advisor, provides strategic management and business development management services to early-stage and start-up companies. He very often starts as a volunteer mentor and later transitions to a paid advisor. The services will primarily consist of strategic management and business development advice provided directly to the key management team of the venture and will provide these services as if he were temporary, part-time Executive Manager, equivalent to a non-employee, non-fiduciary Vice President officer of the Venture under an Engagement letter. 

GTAI has significant experience working with start-up and early stage technology companies, commercializing products and services, and preparing for and executing rapid growth. We provide our experience to the Venture’s management team to be sure the right questions get asked, the opportunities are recognized and understood, the problems with growth and organization are anticipated, and the key relationships are developed. Our broad range of experience with hardware and software related to various technologies enables the Venture management team to outperform the industry. From the beginning of the Company, you may have already or will soon experience the need to manage important transitions, including the removal or addition of key team members, receiving outside investments and starting to manage the Company through the Board of Directors, managing strategy for intellectual property and licensing, advising you on the evolution of market and product strategies, helping with the recognition and definition of potential sales channels, and recognizing when strategic pivot is appropriate, all being delivered with expert executive problem solving expertise. Our experience gives you leverage to accelerate the development of your business by reducing the time required for your team to learn about ways to address business issues faced by most start-up, early stage, and rapid growth companies.

Our fees are structured understanding the financial reality of a start-up venture, and therefore we adjust our compensation to the Venture’s ability to pay reasonable fees for these types of services instead of requesting warrants or options. We often start with a period where the Senior Advisor provides services on a volunteer basis to the Company for a designated amount of time. As the company develops its ability to pay, it is evaluated quarterly, and the company will pay reasonable fees. 

Throughout this engagement, whenever appropriate, GTAI will leverage the technology industry leadership reputation of Dennis C. Hayes, our CEO as a key spokesperson to introduce and reinforce the positioning and capabilities of the Venture’s products and services. In addition, he can be scheduled in advance to attend trade shows or represent the Venture at public appearances.

POD Farms

Pod Farms develops and patents indoor- small- scale hydroponic systems which are used to grow edible crops. They use 3-D printing for product development and are currently conducting beta and pilot testing. Some of the products they sell are “Hydroponic Kits”, “How to Grow at Home: A Guide Download”, and others. The hydroponic systems were designed to be used in the home (business to consumer model), so individuals can grow their food. Pod Farms is now expanding it to b2b for schools and CEA’s (Controlled Environment Agriculture)/Greenhouse growers. The product that is available can stack vertically up to four tiers and has different types and arrangement of attachments for growing different kinds of crops. The cost is between $450-$650 and can produce up to $2,500 worth of produce annually.

RIF Robotics

Every year, there are over 51 million surgeries in the US. For each surgery, sterile processing technicians have to manually inspect and assemble multiple surgical trays. Human error during tray assembly results in over $50 billion of waste due to patient infections, operating room delays, and missing equipment. To address these infections and waste, RIF Robotics is building a product that uses computer vision and robotics to autonomously inspect and assemble surgical trays. Annually, each of RIF Robotics' systems will save a hospital over $300k in labor and over $2 million in reduced waste.
